Style For Success Associate
Inventory/Donations (Back storage)
Oversees in-kind donations and boutique inventory.
This is a full-time position under the supervision of the Style For Success Program Manager
who directly reports to the Director of Programs.
ASSOCIATE DUTIES
- Coordination of the entire back storage area.
o In neatness, organization, and maintenance of being well-stocked.
o Keep clothing in order and within areas of the back storage area that help volunteers and donors understand clients’ clothing necessities. - Act as the recipient of all individualized on-the-spot donations provided at the DFSI site.
o Answer the doorbell for both the garage and side door to take in donations. - Oversee onsite collection and processing of clothing/accessories specific to the Back storage area.
- Scheduling with Classic Cleaners for monthly donation drop-off.
o Arrange clothing on racks for clothing review and acceptance. - Scheduling with Salvation Army for weekly donation pick-up.
- Perform a year-end inventory of clothing, shoes, and in-kind donations (i.e., makeup, jewelry, toiletries).
- Help generate and designate volunteer duties for the back storage area.
- Ensure the Back storage area (of both 820 and 824 N. Meridian) is well-stocked, seasonal, and arranged appropriately.
o 1. Clothing Sales, 2. Youthful and Diverse Styling, 3. Boutique 4. PWG Incentives.
o Maintain a well-organized and clean storage area for clothing and accessories to be stored safely and neatly. - Assist in all PWG/Community Clothing Sales.
- Be a positive and enthusiastic representative of and advocate for Dress for Success Indianapolis.
- Be the leader in ensuring the highest level of customer service provided to Suits for Success clients.
- Maintain a professional environment dealing with clients, volunteers, and co-workers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma, minimum of 5 years of work experience.
- Customer service experience; fashion retail experience highly desirable.
- Ability to dress women of all sizes fashionably and professionally.
- Welcoming personality in person and on the telephone.
- Mature adult comfortable with enforcing policies.
- Professional and polished image.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

ADA REQUIREMENTS
Visual: Required to view and/or prepare reports and other written or computer-generated documents;
Oral: Required for effective communications by telephone, one-on-one conversations, and to conduct a wide variety of small to large group presentations;
Hearing: Required for effective communications by telephone, one-on-one conversations, and to conduct a wide variety of small to large group presentations;
Dexterity: Required for heavy keyboard use, maintaining computerized calendars, and preparation of documents, reports, and presentations.
Other Physical: Requires sitting and standing for extended periods. Requires the ability to climb stairs. Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
CLASSIFICATION & HOURS
- Fulltime, salary, non-exempt position.
- Schedule may change as the needs of clients/volunteers change.
- 40 hours per week, scheduled as needed to fulfill job duties.
